Willowtip I'm not going to pretend to know whats really going on here. Instrumental Canadian metallers Electro Quarterstaff plays what can basically be described as technical death metal without the guy up front regurgitating over the microphone. Over the course of 8 songs the band shreds, bangs and crashes through an impressive set of riffs, chords, squeals, solos and more assorted noises one makes with a distorted guitar (or three as the case would be for Electro Quarterstaff). The problem with all this is that after a while it really just blends in, kind of becoming background static. This style already has a niche audience who eats this sort of thing up, so if that's you then by all means have at it with Gretzky. 01. Neckwrecker 02. Twisted Squid 03. Charmony 04. The Right To Arm Bears 05. Get Sick 06. Titanium Overlords 07. Eyepatch Romance 08. Something's Awry In The Hetfield Of Dreams Score: 6/10
