Bludgeon come crashing out of Chicago with some full force metal. Great home recording from what I understand. When listening to the band, they remind me of a great mix of Death and Slayer. Some great riffs on here. The opener Smoke Screen comes at you like a ton of bricks. Bludgeon means business and that business is bone-crunching metal. They have some really great technical breakdowns and the build up into some great mosh riffs. I did feel that some songs were a little long at times but not that it hindered this CD at all. I am actually at a loss of words because any fans of Death must have this CD. I don’t think you would be disappointed in this at all. All I can say is go out and get this disc. You neck with snap in two from banging to this disc.
