On October the 6th, in Hangar 11 in Tel Aviv's bay, Israel , about 3500 Israeli lucky Nightwish fans including me had the honor to be the first ones to watch Nightwish performing live with their new vocalist, Annet, instead of Tarja. I'm writing to tell you, all you US fans how were the show and especially Annet from my point of view.

First of all it would be necessary to open with a short explanation- it is not obvious at all for Israeli fans to see our favorite artists playing in front of us. Therefore for many of us seeing Nightwish live used to be one hell of a night wish not so long ago. Fanatic fans arrived at the place more than five hours before the show. After the gates opened we had an hour and a half more to wait, after fifty minuets some girls were pulled out of the crowd barely breathing, it only shows how exited people were.

The show began with a short intro and the band members came on the stage performing the song "Bye bye beautiful" wearing the same clothes they wore at its video clip. The crowd wend wild screaming, head banging, showing lots of love to Nightwish and on the way killing each other (damn, it can be sooooo painful being first row!). The band members looked much exited to be on stage, especially Annet. The next song was “Cadence Of Her Last Breath” from the new album, after it the band made a short break of communication with the crowed, than they played the classic “Dark chest of wonders” and “ever dream”.

During whole the show Nightwish switched between new songs to classic ones not letting fans who are not big lovers of their new material to get bored. They also played their great traditional cover to Megadeth- “Symphony of distraction” which was even greater because of the fact Megadeth has played this song at that very same stage only three month ago. The band paid much attention to the crowed- joking, smiling and communicating.

Annet was awesome. I really can’t understand who gave that lame photographer to take their promoting pictures- she looks much better live. She has sounded so good, even in most of the old Nightwish songs. Although being less powerful than Tarja, but that was expected since she hasn’t the same type of voice.

Annet’s stage behavior shows she wasn’t a metal band vocalist before, she even acts like a pop singer, but that’s so cute after you get used to this- I mean, you watch the guys banging their heads, looking tough and then you see Annet dancing Beyoncé like. Again, I guess she was much exited, it was easy to see, but she feels the music and she enjoys what she’s doing -a thing I guess I was not saying if Tarja was in front of me. Annet is different from Tarja, not as theatrical and serious, I liked it much more.

There is not much to say about the guys but to mention they were great. It seemed they were very happy to be on stage again and I can assure you Israeli fans welcomed them warmly.
I wish you all to enjoy them wherever you see them. Some of you may be disappointed because they will never be the “old good Nightwish with Tarja”, but they’re wonderful this way also, so scream your throats out and welcome them.
