Re: Baby Driver
Better late than never, I am sure glad this was still in theater. I loved everything about it, the music synchronization was the icing on the cake. Paul Williams too, fan for life since Phantom of the Paradise.

Re: George Romero passes away
RIP George. Thanks for making the best zombie movies of all time. Without him zombies, as we know them today, would not exist. I am glad I was able to meet him in 2010, sad that I will never be able to see him again. Celebrity deaths rarely affect me on a personal level but this one hit me hard. Sim...

Re: Death Race 2050
Released on January 17th and already on Netflix! This cheap, cheesy sequel/remake did a good job or capturing the spirit of the original. If you enjoyed the original Death Race 2000 you will likely enjoy this. I know I did.

Re: Shin Godzilla
On the other hand, the part that hit the plus column first was SO damn good that it belongs in the pantheon... I'm talking, of course, about the film's handling of the traditional 'breath' weapon and its truly inspired evolution and deployment once the American forces unleashed their payload. A tru...

Shin Godzilla
I REALLY liked it with the exception of the Japanese actress who was supposed to be portraying an English speaking Japanese-American. I read no reviews and had no expectations going in. If one goes in expecting a monster mash they will end up being sorely disappointed. This was much more along the l...

Best movie for me of 2015. 70mm roadshow was great, a packed house, huge screen and neat programs.

I caught this in the theater. I liked it enough to buy it and thought it was better than Age of Ultron.

Crazy. We learn of his passing 10 years to the day after he started the greatest thread that any forum has ever seen. The thread was created on 15 January 2006. A wee bit over 10 years but close enough. As for Froggy's question I don't think that's really information suitable for the public. RIP Jo...

I missed this, seriously! FB is like fucking Walmart, this is like the seedy dive bar where you just feel comfortable. Agreed! I miss this place a lot. I made a lot of new friends here, and it was just plain fun to hang out here. On that note, the greatest FOF thread of all time is almost 10 years ...

Re: The Green Inferno
I thought the movie was decent. It was very well made and had excellent practical FX. With that said it was missing the mean spirit that made the old school Italian films so shocking. Not just the animal stuff either, there were several elements I consider essential to a proper cannibal film that we...

All I can say is that this was FREAKING AWESOME. A turbo charged thrill ride that reeked of blood, sweat and bio diesel. I hope to catch it again within the next few weeks, I want to check out the 3D version.

Very, very good film. It kind of reminded me of the Korean film "Natural City" but it has been a long time since i have seen it so I could be completely wrong. Regardless I really enjoyed this one!

Always my favorite post of the year, thanks for keeping the tradition going Remo! Here are my brief thoughts on some of my favorite 2014 films, I am sure there are some that I am missing but since I let my log slide I am just not sure. The Raid 2 - This entry in the series elevated the action of the...
