Blast from the past!

Posted this in a thread in another forum but had to make sure Clark saw this! :) While sifting through some old scanned images I came across a flyer that was from April 19th 1996 that says 2 things.... 1. Damn these bands are that old!? 2. Proof there was solid hardcore shows back then (and free)! :...

I thought this one was pretty good but, nothing special. I thought the remake of the original was better though. I really liked the remake, not sure why so many people around here are so bitter about it. Then again, I tend to see value in a lot of movies that people hate. Maybe it's just cool to bas...

I just picked up the Unrated DVD. Personally, I thought this movie was pretty kick ass! I didn't think the camera shaking was very bad in this at all. Nothing like The Cavern or even The Descent. I thought the pacing was perfect, the gore was very good (even an ode to Fulci!! :dsmoke: ) and some of ...

Why do people always seem to need/expect an explanation for characters with bad behavior? If that's the case then, why dont those people need an explanation of why a person is nice/good/polite? Is it because those people have their own idea of what they consider "normal" so no explanation ...

The dog thing was actually laying on the floor with a gaping wound in the neck from the girl eating it. The worm scene was pretty lame for sure. Some things I did like were the tazer and water on the groin, using the guy as a dart board, pulling teeth with pliers and the old lady and girl were just ...

Fear is a FPS that brings together the action of the Matrix, with the scares of the Ring.
Yeah, FEAR looks freaking bad ass but, what part of the Ring was even remotely scary?

Living Hell

Picked up Living Hell last week (along with Zombie Holocaust -great movie!!- and Leatherface: TCM III). Living Hell is in Japanese and subtitled so, I knew to expect some reading. :) Anyway, I thought the movie was pretty cool. Some strange stuff in the style of Ju-On and Ringu. As usual, there are ...

Not only that, but I think the horror fans who want all gore all the time and nothing but gore tend to give the whole community a bad name. For a genre so often under attack, it's seems a bit counterproductive to openly admit that artistic merit is not important to you. Those are very good points b...

I gotta say I'd be a little embarassed to say that. I love gore and violence as much as the next guy but it should always come second. You're gonna end up watching alot of very, very bad movies this way. I like movies the same way I like music. Not every song I listen to is my favorite song. I like...

Gore suggestions?

Ok, what are some good, gory movies to get (besides Brain Dead and Premutos). I remember Deadguy asking this quite a while ago but, can't locate the thread. I'm looking for any movie with a large amount of gore. I'm not too concerned with story. :chainsaw:

Shallow Ground

I picked this one up last week. Based on the cover and info it just sounded like it might be worthwhile. In the end, I thought it was great! It was surprisingly good. Great imagery and good story! I had never even heard of it until I saw it in the store when I picked it up. I would recommend it to a...

The only one that stands out to me is Hunting Humans. It's pretty low budget and I thought the story could have used a few minor adjustments but, the premise was pretty cool and that's what made me end up liking it quite a bit. It's about a serial killer that stalks victims but, another serial kille...

I'm really looking forward to seeing this one. Personally, I loved the first so, I'm sure this one should be gratifying in one way or another....I'm also a huge death metal fan so, I'm used to liking stuff that 95% of the genral population despise. :metalhead

I have a bad feeling that Ring 2 will be exactly what I would expect of a sequel to a lame movie. :whine:
