Apparently, Chop Suey has just closed down as well. My former band Grievous filmed a video there. Again, it's been like 10 years since Ive been there, and I live down the street.

RIP The Hurricane Cafe

I think it was the first or second "SMO" meeting site. 98? 99? 00? I went there with my Torsion vocalist Arnie. Met a ton of good people and fellow metal musicians. It was also the venue where I first met the guys in Myiasis & Semisis! Kevin, Pat, Jarrod, Doug, Jody and Brad. Sad to se...

Dang, I need to come here more. Chris, I got a Peavey 6505+ After asking around, it turns out it seems to be the staple head for lots of touring 'death metal' bands. MOT's right, Marshals and other tube amps seem to be just too muddy for precision/fast death metal playing. This one sings. I can actu...

Fuck, Luc, in my mind, is a fucking god. His music compositions throughout the years and evolution of Gorguts albums coupled with the fact that he has THE... BEST... Deathmetal vocals ever, am very excited for his first album in almost ten years.

Yep.

Tube amps do make a difference.

Give me your addresses and I'll send flowers and chocolate to go along with my sincere apology.

A memory that still makes me chuckle, hanging out with him at the bar in the Central one night, we got into the usual "I'm more metal than you" shit talking session. It lasted a long time, but when he lifted up his arm, grabbed a good 40 underarm hairs and pulled them all out in one yank a...

I think you'd like to see the young buck guitarists in Terra Morta. They shred the solos and they're like 22 years old.
