Moonrise Kingdom

Saw Moonrise Kingdom a few days ago. It takes place in 1965 on an island in New England. Two kids run away together. The adults assemble to find them before a major storm hits. It stars Bruce Willis, Frances McDormand, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Ed Norton, and Havey Keitel. It was kinda cute and qu...

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.

Recently saw this movie. Dame Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, and Bill Nighy are British retirees who move to India. The hotel is run by the kid who was in Slumdog Millionaire (can't remember his name). The story is about their adventures in India (some good, some bad). It is now showing at the Grand Taco...

Re: RIP Big Hurkin Frontman

RIP Hurk. I only knew him from these boards, but I am saddened by his passing. He was only here for a short time on this planet, but he made an enormous impact on folks while he was here. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

The Artist

I saw this movie recently. I loved it, but I am an old movie buff. Just wondering what everyone here on the beaten track thought of it.

Yes I saw the Wallace and Gromit cartoon and I don't have any kids.
I have previously seen A Close Shave, and the one where they go to the moon looking for the ultimate piece of cheese.

I enjoyed this silly cartoon. What can I say, I'm wierd

Does Arsenic and Old Lace count?

Cary Grant goes to visit his elderly aunts. They poison their gentleman callers with Elderberry wine. And their brother (who thinks He's Teddy Roosevelt, and is digging the panama canal in the basement), buries the bodies in the basement of the house. Hilarity ensues.

I saw War of the Worlds with my mom. I liked it. If Tom Cruise ever comes out of the closet, my mom will be crushed. (If you don't like Dakota Fanning don't watch Steven Speilberg presents "Taken" if they ever repeat it on Sci Fi). That kid can act. I hope she doesn't become a screwed up a...

I saw it with my mom on sunday afternoon. It was pretty cool. And Jar Jar binks didn't say a word (YIPPEE!!!). I didn't see James Earl Jones in the closing credits cause he was the voice of Darth Vader at the end of the movie. It was kind of neat how they put "humpty dumpty" (Vader) back t...

Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy

I read the 5 part trilogy. I saw the British mini series produced by the BBC (during a PBS pledge drive), and now I've seen the movie. I had high expectations for this. I was a little disapointed. They didn't go to the restaurant at the end of the universe, nor did they tell you what the question to...
