I saw this a couple days ago, yeah it was pretty much an excuse to make gore (I don't remember much dialogue or plot haha) but this one knew how to make the gore interesting, that melting/exploding scene was like nothing I've ever seen before.

History of Violence for me was the best film of 2005.

haha, yeah I have feeling that's the case, the same people that rave about it are the same snooty bastards that think Quentin Tarantino is the God of all moviemaking

To sum up the ending: Too predictable for being hyped up as unpredictable. It's the cliche psychological horror thing to do like that one movie Identity did.

An easy to get into film but that ending detracts from this being perfect. I still like and enjoyed it overall though.

Silence of the Hams sounds good, I think I'll order the VHS soon, apparently there's no DVD of it.

I still need to check out Motel Hell.

I also just got Transylavnia Twist, it's a horror spoof, I'll report back if it was any good, it was a good buy for $3 on DVD.

Well even the staple gore films like Lucio Fulci's stuff has boring parts, I find myself wandering off in The Beyond and Zombie a lot. I think they're too much of gorehounds that they grow restless with the talky parts too easily. They like the movies cause of the gore, but they won't kid themselves...

It sounds like your just watching the wrong films. I mean 90% of films that contain gore are not mindless and worthless are they? Yeah most is pretty bad, even some of my gorehound buds will get pissed off at how these movies are boring. Most the euro + Japanese stuff and generic slashers lag way t...

IF YOU DONT LIKE MOVIES WITH GORE IN THEM WHY DONT YOU GO WATCH LONESOME DOVE OR SOME OTHER COWBOY BULLSHIT :machine: I don't hate gore films, Braindead is my favorite movie in fact. I just hate the ones that don't even try to be movies, 90% of them are mindless talk for 7/8th of the movie. Kichiku...

haha, that was me that did the gory western thread. I was really intersted in them cause I already know of all the other kinds of westerns, never have I seen any with gore before. Yeah looking for gore does get old though and the movies get boring fast. I noticed most the movies with gore lag way to...

Funniest horror movies?

Just saw Day of the Beast, now I'm in the mood for more comedies with a horror theme. Anyone know any good ones? I don't want unintentional humor, I wanna see some real intended comedies with clever jokes, none of the "so bad it's funny" crap, I got too many of those. :smoke:

I'm looking for any movie with a large amount of gore. I'm not too concerned with story. :chainsaw: http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00006G8GJ.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg Then there's the quasi-snuff films like August Underground and Guinea Pig, which I avoid cause they're expensive and are pointless. Person...

Yeah I respect people of all religions, this guy is being a total jackass, not cause of his religion in itself, but because of the jackassness within him.

damn, that is short, I guess they rushed this thing to savor the zombie craze Shaun of the Dead and the Dawn of the Dead remake helped generate. That's still pretty impressive though, it looks like they put a lot of long hard work in some scenes.

I was satisfied. It was more of an action movie than a horror film though. For an R-rated theatrical release, the gore level was impressive, can't wait for the unrated version. My one complaint is I wish the movie was a bit longer, this is something we waited years for and there could have been more...

I wouldn't say every concept has been used. There's always something original waiting to happen....we just don't know it yet and that's what makes it original ;)

Cannibal the Musical is one of my favs, too bad they didn't make it. Really liked Combat Shock too, although they didn't make that either. I've been meaning to check out Troma War, I hear it's pretty brutal.

Renegade Fury

Wasn't sure if I should post this over at the classfieds forum. But I guess it is horror related....anyways, if you got a fast connection and don't mind amature crap, checkout the 1st 30 minutes of my thing (I think I'll have to fix it up in some spots..maybe a lot of spots). And we're also looking ...
