Sounds like you are onto a great idea. If you're ever in Washington in late October, early November, the Olympia Film Festival has the best late night program ever. It is called "All Freakin Night", and it is a program that screens 5 horror/trash flicks at starting at Midnight, going until...

There will be a screening at The Seattle International Film Festival in the next month, which i'll try to be at. BTW, Kimberly, wherever did you get that horrid clip of the hammer to the sac? God, it hurts me to look at it (but I can't turn away)!

I feel that way about every remake but Hollywood needs to rehash everything because now they have computers. :) I think it's not so much because they have computers, but because the originals are no longer making much money for anyone. I don't think many people are buying the original Dawn of the D...

I feel you Brother! I am a HUGE fan of foreign film, and was intrigued by all the positive press this was getting. Then I saw it, and the ending (or lack thereof) ruined the whole experience for me. The certain shoking event that took place in the last half was unexpected, and people in the crowd we...

I say that they should let someone else give it a shot if they want to. How many of the flicks in the series are worth watching once anyway? Most are throw away entertainment, made to get horror fans' $$ anyway, so what's the difference? I only enjoyed the first three, parts of Jason X, and the Fred...

i think you're right, but the U.S. filmmakers seem to have not gone down that road too much...yet. Sympathy for Lady Vengeance has some tough to watch scenes of child murder, but they were essential to the story (you'll see why when you watch it. The ending revolves around seeing it). As a matter of...

I saw this at last year's Seattle International Film Festival, and just loved it. I love the others as well, but I have to say that Bullets didn't work for me. The best thing about the screening was that Iglasias was there, with his writing partner, and they were hilarious! Broken English and all, t...

It seems like yesterday we were hanging and having a nerd talk about the last Batman flick, and who we thought was the best Batman so far. I miss him, but instead of having a sad day, I will do something fun and be happy. As cliched as it sounds, the truth is that he would not want anyone to sit aro...

I totally agree on both counts! I'm really looking forward to The Hills Have Eyes, but When A Stranger Calls looks to be another crap teen flick.

Went today, and loved having a bloody Christmas for a change. The theatre was packed too, but I was in Portland, so I don't know about Washington. I liked the movie, but it is VERY slow getting to the good stuff, but when it arrives, it's pretty brutal. I will give it a thumbs up, although I think t...

Everyone seems to be interested in fellatiating peter jackson. He did Bad Taste folks, remember that always. And Meet the Feebles. No one is cumming in their britches for those classics. I am a fan from wayyyy back, so I actually do cum in my britches over those classics. As well as Dead Alive, and...

You are fucking crazy. I might just be one of the most diehard Resident Evil fans I know. When I played RE4 for the first time on the Gamecube I was blown away. Not only a fine addition to the series, but possibly one of the best video game experiences I have ever had. Granted the camera is differe...

I'll be checking it out this afternoon, but Ain't It Cool News and some people on IMBD said that it should have been R, due to the drug themes, and a few other things that the MPAA may not have gotten. Hopefully that's the case.

I totally agree, this is great stuff. I saw this as a kid in the 70's at the drive in, and although it's PG, it still rocks. The bad news: a remake will be released in 2006, but it will be rated R, so it might be worth a look,

I have been a huge Argento fan, since I was a lad of 7 or 8, when I saw Susperia at the drive in (and got to meet him once, and he was a very kind and gracious man). His output has been very shoddy over the last 10 + years, with Opera being his last true classic. It's almost as if he was phoning it ...

Ken Kish rules! It's Cinema Wasteland now--at least, that's what the convention he runs is named. He's a great guy and he'll hook you up, no two ways about it. Yeah, Ken is a really cool guy, and knows his stuff. Maybe one of these days i'll take a trip and hit one of his shows. On the one hand, i'...

Back in days when I would trade tapes with people (92-97), there was one guy who always had the goods. After the bootleg days were over, he went legit and started a mail order business. His name is Ken Kish, and his store was called Video Wasteland, and it is based out of Ohio I believe. I just saw ...

I've been waiting for this for quite awhile, but alas, I do not have Showtime. That's ok, since they will be putting them on DVD via Anchor Bay a month or so after they air. Here's hoping Dario Argento can finally drag himself out of the rut he's been in since he put out Trauma.
