Still Alive...

...but fortunately not drunk. What's happenin?!?! Effluvia is still alive after a 4 year hiatus (rumors of our domestication have been greatly exaggerated) We just played Portland on March 4 with Nekro Drunkz, Fetid, and Acid Feast. The 2006 self titled album has now been remastered and all old mate...

PSP 2000 (aka PSP Slim)

Snagged one of these a couple weeks ago. I'll have to say this is a HUGE improvement over the original model. A few reasons. 1. Better D pad and analog nub. This allows me to play some of the fighting games much easier than the old crappy analog nub or a shitty D pad that wouldn't function well on t...

PS3 + Warhawk = :machine::metal::machine::metal::headshot::cool: :):):) 360 has Halo 3, but I know everyone and their mom are going to be playing it; not to mention a bunch of potty-mouthed 12 year olds thinking they're big shit. I'm playing my PS3 more than my 360 lately. Yet.......I did dig out my...

Okay I'll chime in I own all 3 next gen systems. Each of them have their strengths and weakneses. 360 has a good lineup of games and shows no signs of slowing down, but I had mine brick (3 lights of death.) At least they repair the thing. My only beef with Live is the pricey microtransactions. What ...

The future firmware updates will fix that so you can play while downloading in the background. Fortunately I can kick back to a DVD or a game of Dead Rising while my demo/game/trailer/whatever downloads.

I too am a proud PS3 owner. Basically won a small wad of cash from playing Spanish 21. Had to wait a bit in order to get one since they were out of stock everywhere I went. So far, I'm having fun with it. Sure the games aren't there yet, but they will be and I'm patient as all hell. I try not to pla...

Show was pretty good, small crowd. Then again, Deathmas did get in the way of everything.

We (as in Effluvia) are also down with playing up in the north end again. Keep us in mind when you guys are playing next.
