Oh, free Usenet servers DO exist. There are heaps of them. It's just that most of them are shit, and don't store the binary groups.

Sorta off topic, but vaguely relevant nonetheless..

Does anyone know any good free usenet servers that you can access binaries groups (if such a thing exists)? Because I notice a lot of you guys are able to find some funky shit on usenet, and the server I get mine off doesn't have shit.

Barcelona Babylon?!

This is supposely a new project that was announced earlier in the year, as part of a trio of directors - Andreas Schnass, Olaf Ittenbach, and the seeming return of Jorg Buttgereit! Has anyone heard much about this, if anything at all?

That movie made me realise, at the tender young age of ten, how entertaining mindless, gory violence can be. And then I saw Re-Animator, and really messed myself up. :)

Donnie Darko

Wasn't sure where to post this, but I thought here was good as any, as it does have horror elements to it. Donnie Darko is the Fight Club of 2002(1?). It's clever, quite messed up and all round great fun. In retrospect it's probably not as dark as Fight Club, but it's easily just as good. The story ...

Even upon seeing trailers for this one, I'm puzzled at a lot of elements that appear in the trailer that I've never seen in the original Jap movie. Is this remake severely different, or take liberties with the reinterpretation?

Let My Puppets Come is great fun for the first time, but after that I recommend restricting viewings to bunches of drunk friends. The true beauty is that it's only 40 minutes long, so they don't have time to get too bored. I dread to THINK what a feature length one would have been like, though. But ...

Heyas. Can anyone tell me how someone as talented as Michele Soavi is making TV movies? It's a crying fucking shame. It appears he hasn't made a movie (on film, that is) since Dellamore.. Either way, on lighter things, does anyone know if La Sette is being released on DVD any time soon? Allan. [This...

Dylan - you're a Patton fan? http://www.shadows.com/ubb/smile.gif Failed Zombie, I highly recommend Takeshi Miike - particularly Visitor Q. It's some great stuff.
