Couldn't agree with you more. Certainly not another James Bond, far from it actually. Has plenty of great action sequences, some funny one-liners, overall, an enjoyable film.

This is one Fulci film I have yet to see. Is the DVD worth paying for?

zombie holocause dvd

Not really sure. The DVD of the film I have is from Shriek Show. Still a great flick though. Gotta love the scene where Ian McCullouch shoves the propeller in the zombie's face.

The ending was somewhat of a disappointment but overall I thought Frailty was pretty damn good. A nice directing job on the part of Bill Paxton. Certainly better than some of the recent teen slashers recently.

As long as they keep turning in a profit, they'll keep making them. As for this installment, I'm not expecting too much, but I'll see it anyway.

Greg the Bunny

Once again, Rupert Murdoch and his cronies at Fox Network has proven they have little knowledge of how to run a network. The latest blunder? Giving Titus the axe and replacing it with Greg the Bunny. I watched the season premiere and though, Jim Henson must be turning in his grave. A cheap rip off o...

Sounds like I'm in the minority here, but I enjoyed Panic Room. It was a good film, but not great, and I sort of expected a little more from Fincher and Andrew Kevin Walker. The film has a dark atmosphere, but I felt that they held back. The film could've been much better had they left the soft Forr...

I'll still go see it. I can still remember when my grandparents took me and my bro to see it when it first came out. I am glad that Spielberg passed on a sequel.

This is a rare instance where the sequel actually tops the original IMHO. Lots of gore, great performances (Ron Perlman is great). Del Toro handles this one very well and I'm eager to hear that he and Snipes have signed on for Blade 3.

Well, I must say I was somewhat skeptical when they passed on The Vampire Lestat and went ahead with QOTD. I've read the Vampire Chronicles and this one is easily the weakest entry. I did think Stuart Townsend gave a better performance as Lestat than Tom Cruise did though (I'm not a big Cruise fan)....

I saw the trailer for this when I saw Queen of the Damned. This one sorta reminds me fo an old 50s or 60s monster movie. Definitely worth checking out.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake

As if things couldn't get any worse. I thought a remake of Dawn of the Dead was badenough and now this. Michael Bay's production company, Platinum Dunes, has plans for a remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. No word on who will direct or write the script? Again one must ask, why? Didn't everybody see w...

I expected a little more from Jeepers Creepers but granted it was far better than a lot of the shit that has come out recently (IE Urban Legends 2). Still, I thought it was decent, but I'm disappointed to hear Salva's doing a sequel. Anything for a buck nowadays. As for Cherry Falls, I may be the on...

I just finished watching Sleepless last night and I must say this is Dario Argento's best film in a long while. Well directed, good script, good score, and a great performance from veteran Max Von Sydow. The train sequence early on was outstanding. One of Argento's best murder sequences next to Susp...

If by some freak miracle Deodato did manage to pull off a sequel, chances are it would be far more toned down than the original. I agree. Why bother?

Deodato doing Cannibal Holocaust 2?

I found that someone posted on www.cannibalholocaust.net that Ruggero Deodato has decided to do a sequel to Cannibal Holocaust. Is there any truth to this or is somebody blowing hot air. Probably the latter.

NBC to remake CARRIE

Once again some fucking white-collar studio asshole exec decides to totally wreck a classic original. According to Cinescape, NBC plans to do a made-for-TV movie remake of Stephen King's Carrie, only they plan to alter the ending and give it more of a present-day pop culture feel. Why ruin a prefect...

To tell you the truth, I didn't really think too much of the original Rollerball. I found it a little slow moving. As for the remake, I'm rather surprised that it might actually suck considering John McTiernan is directing.

2002: Looking Ahead

Well since Remo has rehashed 2001, I thought I'd give a glimpse of 2002. Here's some of what I'm looking forward to. I've mainly focused on horror films, but I've thrown in some other good stuff too. JASON X - I know Friday the 13th may not be too popular around here, but I'm rather interested to se...

I'd say 2001 was a better year for horror films than 2000 but not by much. The two films I'd been looking forward to, Jason X and House of 1000 Corpses both had their release dates postponed. I don't know what New Line is waiting for on Jason X. As for HO1KC, who knows. I thought The Others was tops...
