"Agitator" had some really good parts but it was far too long (150 minutes) and had a lot of really slow parts. There was a lot of violence, some great laughs, but far too many yawn inspiring scenes for me to recommend this one. Based on this one I'd say Miike should stay away from the Yak...

Miike Takashi's in town!

He's here for the US premieres of "Agitator" and "Happiness of the Katakuris". Should be cool to see what he has to say during the Q and A session after the films. I won't be there for the "Happiness" appearance (going to the Monday one though) but Iam138 will be. -----...

I got mine a couple days ago and it is AWESOME. The transfer is great and there are a ton of extras, including a couple of great Stanley Spedowski scenes that were cut. The MSRP quoted earlier must be way off, I got it for 10 bucks at Best Buy. ------------------ "Regrettable... I was hoping fo...

Know your password? If not read this (IMPORTANT)

was going to change to new forums tonight BUT since it's becoming apparent that a lot of people don't know their passwords I'm going to hold off for a week. In the meantime, follow the instructions below to recover your password. If the board changeover happens and you don't know your password you'l...

People were much more restrained in the laughter at tonight's 9:30 screening of "Uzumaki". Then again I don't think they enjoyed it very much as there was very little applause at the conclusion of the film. I counted nine walkouts, not too bad http://www.shadows.com/ubb/smile.gif I've seen...

They're not usually so snobby at the midnight movies but I completely agree with what you said. Most of the people in attendance are the kind of people who NEVER say the word movie, it's always "film" or "cinema". Parking isn't bad if you don't mind spending a few bucks, I park r...

Budget DVD company Diamond has re-issued their "Last Man on Earth"/"House on Haunted HIll" DVD in a widescreen version!. The transfer quality is about the same as the old one but it sure is nice being able to see LMOE in a nice wide format! For 5 or 6 bucks you can't go wrong wit...

This is a difficult one as there are a lot of bad movies out there. I'm gonna give my worst to a 1971 Spanish flick called "Graveyard of Horror" (aka Necrophagus) which is one of the most boring flicks I have ever seen. Lamberto Bava's "Graveyard Disturbance" also ranks up there ...
