Serious PAIN!

Post by BigHurknFrontman » Thu Jan 08, 2009 8:08 am

I'm about to whine like a little bitch, but I really don't care at this point!

I have a maxillary sinus infection, and it feels like I've been hit in the face with a fuckin' BAT. Weird thing is that I can breathe just fine, but the pain starts just below my left eye, stretches down my cheek and stops just under my jaw. All the teeth on the left side of my mouth feel like they're being gripped by pliers.

My Dr. gave me a Z-pak on Tuesday, and the symptoms have barely improved. I'm waking up at about 3am every morning, because my skull just POUNDS!

Anybody else experienced this before? This makes me want to fuckin' KILL things!:chainsaw:

I don't remember the exact names of any of them but, due to diminuitive nasal passages, I get sinus infections every time I turn around. I think that I recognize what you're feeling, but not on that scale (or else I'm jaded) and it's almost like the air is hurting you - is that close? Try adding some moisture to the air - a simple vaporizer. It won't make it "all better" but it kind of makes the air "softer", if that makes any sense.

I might have to do that. Nothing else seems to be working to relieve the pressure. This hurts so FUCKING bad!

You get that often? I've had friends who have had to have surgery due to frequent sinus infections.

Get better soon, dude!

I have sleep apnea, so I use a CPAP mask at night. Because of that, I get probably 2 sinus infections every year.
But I've NEVER experienced anything like this before! You ever had a bone bruise? That's what my left cheekbone feels like.

Update

Post by BigHurknFrontman » Fri Jan 09, 2009 9:34 pm

Went back into the clinic today, and learned that I have developed a resistance to Azithromycin... hence, my NOT getting any better. I was given a prescription for Avelox (alternative antibiotic), a powerful steroid injection and a prescription for Vicodin.

Within an hour of taking my first dose of the new antibiotic, I was feeling 1000% better, and the Vics are just icing on the cake!

Get a dental check up.

2005 had the worst ever headache...HELL.

The ER doctors misdiagnosed and said it was a sinus infection.
In less than 24 hours I was in the critical care unit and dying.

I had an infected tooth that needed a root canal and the infection was killing me literally.

Could be a one in a million...worst thing could happen is you find out you have a cavity...right?

Take care.

Peace.
