Topless: TOTALLY agree.
6 string or tapping: Not so much. Come on now... The 4 string is the "standard" bass. Can't hold that against anyone. My #1 is still my good ol' Jazz bass. 4 strings, tuned EADG. On that note-

- I just bought a Spector 6 to play around with. Who knows, maybe I'll fight along side you for 6 string superiority someday. :metal:

- Are you familiar with Jeff Schmidt's bass work? He's one of the very few bassists who's tapping I find badass. His solos are very melodic and not just a massive wank-fest.

This video has some amazing tapping starting at 1:05 or so. You can ignore the cheesy first 25 seconds of the video if you'd like.

It's a damn surf board. Too big.

My sausage-fingers have the same problem. No way could I reach the upper string on a 10. :D
