um... dude, if that was directed at me, re-read my statement, i was giving you a compliment cuz bruce campbell rocks. and i have never advocated nu-metal.

Hmm, worst album. Too many to call just one out but I think I'm going to go with Metallica's "Black" album simply because it killed me to have one of my favorite metal bands turn into a run of the mill hard rock act.

All by itself, I think the Black album is very good. If it were Metallia's only album, it would be considered great.

When considering that it's the path that Metallica took after where they once were though, I completely agree with you!

Basically, on an absolute scale, it's a good album. On a relative scale, it blows.

I still like some of the black album, except I can't listen to Enter Sandman and especially Sad But True, that song is so boring and monotonious. Anyways, Load, reload and St. Anger make the Black Album look like a master piece now. I think their downfall was with load because they took a 5 year break after the black album and then boom came out with Load, which just wasn't the same caliber as any of the older albums including the Black Album. I think with Grunge and everything that came out within their break they lost their touch of what the hell they were doing and just put out a half assed album, which is all they do now. The sad thing about them is that they think the new stuff is good, which is really hard for me to comprehend.

yeah, well, metallica arent young and pissed off anymore. Now they are sober, cranky, and want more money to get more couches to cushion thier lazy asses so they can count thier bills, then in the meantime, they'll go after some kids for fun, who were downloading thier terrible songs off the internet.

This is true, they aren't young and pissed off anymore but It's just weird how it's the same band, I mean listen to Master of Puppets or Ride the Lightning and then listen to St. Anger, it's like what the hell were they thinking. I know you'll say $$ but I really don't think so, they actually seem to enjoy what they are doing now. I'm not too sure about it all being about the money, they seem to have always done whatever the hell they've wanted too. Whatever though, they are a lost cause, and probably the biggest let down music wise of any band I can think of. Their are few Thrash bands that still put out good stuff, Testament comes to mind, their last one was pretty good, Megadeth....haven't listened to the new one much but it sounds pretty lame....Slayer.....God Hates us All (yes he does if he allows this album to see the light of day).

I didn't think Load was a bad metal album, but compared to the earlier works, it is pretty shitty, and watered down. But oh well.

ive pretty much stopped watching tv all together. thats what video games are for.

useless material with absolutely no relevance. metallica used to embody what was relevant, then they tried to go with what was relevant, now they are trying to forge a new path and nobody is feeling it... except for godsmack fans.

Slayer went down with them. Cradle of Filth suck big dick now as well, they use to be great musicians. But, Dani kicked all of the good musicians out, because of his huge ego. Dimmu Borgir are going down the same road. Funny, these band's haven't even been around half as long as Metallica (except Slayer). Well one thing is, An Ego doesn't belong in a band. Ego's destroy bands (ex: Beatles, Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, Guns N Roses) and band members WITH ego's destroy it as well, like Lars Ulrich and Dani Filth. That sickens me.
