Hardcore Metal Kicks Ass

Post by xryanvkm » Thu Oct 27, 2005 7:31 am

I just have to express that I love how so many Hardcore bands are heavy, in your face, and kick ass. If you listen to the right ones and not the wrong ones you will also see what I mean for example Atreyu is false hardcore and stupid. If you want to hear some heaviness then check out the following bands music. go here to listen to Burning Skies and see what I mean

Jonathan, please ban this homo from this board at least. He knows nothing about death metal and just sucks in general. He will just bring us down with his gay "hard core" bands that he keeps posting on here about.

Hardcore is not metal, and it sure as hell isn't extreme metal.
I have to return some videotapes.

Fallen Angels new CD "Rise From Ashes" available now from Metal On Metal Records,. Visit our Myspace page here for samples.

not that I'm saying that hardcore music is great or anything like that BUT......

THE BRAINDEAD aren't they hardcore (I'm mean all hardcore is, is punk that got metal and heavyness to it...) If you were not into punk before hardcore then you are a fasle person who only follow like sheep...

now saying that all you guys think
3 inches of blood and black dahlia muder are hardcore and not death metal and some of you think that they are shit..... see that is where I differ from you guys. I think they are just metal (not hardcore or death) just straight METAL and to me (and only me) this is the EXTREME METAL site which includes all sorts of METAL not just DEATH>>>>>

NOW you got another guy to fuck with

I'd like to keep this little discussion board more geared towards extreme metal.

There's 2 boards on the Forums Of Filth that this would be a better fit on. The Music Discussions board and the Seattle Music Scene discussion board. Makes sense right?

As for Hardcore, I don't know much about it. But the little I've heard, I dig. It's the fans that are annoying. Especially in the "pit" with their Bruce Lee shit and "cabbage pickin" moves.
Take a picture, trick. I'm on a boat, bitch.

what is ok to talk about on here? Not trying to be an ass but this what you wrote on the (WHAT EXTREME METAL SITE IS ALL ABOUT)
"My own definition of “Extreme Metal” are the various forms of metal that are deemed too heavy for radio; dark, intense and generally all out brutality. Fast, mid-paced, slow, if it fits the above, it’s extreme. Deathmetal, Blackmetal, Grindcore and the heavier forms of Thrash"

so saying that some forms of hardcore and just fast ass metal is ok to talk about on here?

Maybe I'm wrong but over here we never hear BLACK DAHLIA MUDER on the radio or for that matter 3 inches of blood...

Again I'm not agreeing with the hardcore guy but I just wanted to know so I know what to post or not..

JIM

Well, in this community "Forums Of Filth" there are fans of all types of metal and non-metal. Many people are here from the SMO days as well.

There are options on the Forums on where to post.

-Seattle Music Scene is a good place to post about local metal and metal in general. Same as punk, rock, hardcore, reggae. Sorta the all-purpose music discussion board.

-Run Your Mouth is a good place to bullshit about anything.

-Abyss, the flaming discussions

-Music Discussions, again, anything about music

A long time ago a bunch of us felt that a discussion board tailored to EXTREME metal would be cool and useful. Seattle Death Metal discussion board was here, but it was a little more sterile invironment and never really about death metal. When it moved, and the SMO fell, there was a rather large empty space for this opportunity to fill.

So, we've got a message board about EXTREME metal now. Along with the other boards that everyone on this one visits (Seattle Music Scene).

It's all about finding the appropriate place for your topic. If I want to talk about The Braindead, I go to The Braindead's discussion board (on these Forums). When I want to talk about Punk, Hardcore or metal in general, I go there as well.

But when I have a specifically extreme metal oriented discussion that I want to bring up... here's the place to do it.

That's my reasoning.
Take a picture, trick. I'm on a boat, bitch.

Sorry Brad, more of these so called Hardcore bands have more of Metal overtone then they do a Hardcore overtone.

:)

But I agree, they are true traditional metal.

I'd say old Hatebreed and Earth Crisis was as far as I could ever get with modern hardcore. Everything else is pretty much a replica as far as I'm concerned.. a very bad replica most of the time.

Xryanvkm - You are obviously just trolling in an effort to get a negative reaction out of people. Your goal is obviously to ruin this forum to by posting your typical uninformed and random bullshit. Then when you get called on it you will ignore it and continue your stupid posts.

Sure they can because some of them are very extreme.

See too me, Power Metal and Prog bands, are bands that do not deserve to be mentioned on and Extreme Metal board. Because they are all radio friendly bands. There is nothing extreme about them just like a lot of the Metalcore bands. :)

Sorry. :)
