Kim Wylde (Wild?) was the shit. She had this one song that the most badass brass synth line. New Wave/Power Pop to the extreme motherfuckers!

I liked Eurythmics. Mostly was into some of the punkish shit back then, B-52's and Dead Kennedys. The Tubes and the Clash and Decendants and shit. Went to a lot of shows back then. There were a couple of really cool punk clubs in San Francisco that I would hit regularly as they never carded. Let a freind drag me to a Gigi Allyn show once. Ugh.

I still like that shit. The Pleasure Elite and Thug etc still tickle that funny bone. Wish Vern would unchain himself for another show. A lot of that self-depricating black humor is missing from the new stuff.

Looks like the soundtrack from Adam Sandlers "The Wedding Singer"

You need:
New Order "Blue Monday"
Culture Club---Do You Really Want To Hurt Me
and
Ellen Dow (the old lady) Plus Sugarhill Gang --Rapper's Delight

Gary Neuman was cool. I went to a show of his at the DV8 in San Francisco. Was a HUGE club. 3 floors of glammies and queers and shit and it was a great place to drink in if you could get throught the door. Saw Wendy O Williams fuck a sledghammer on stage there. Plasmatics rocked.
