The opening bands are the only thing worth a shit, but Exodus does not deserve what they are charging for destroying a classic!!!

And whats sad is if they released that today no body would give 2 shits. EXODUS didn't start any trends they just followed them like MANY bands did. They were good but not that good. Let em destroy it!!!!!

last time i saw EXODUS there was barely 200 people at S7, half of those remained by the end of the show. The new singer blows mud just like every other singer he trying to imitate.

But i will be at the show to see Vulgarizer, period.

I liked the last couple of albums they've put out with Rob. And it's not like Exodus never play any BBB songs normally with him live, so this is nothing new to me.

I just want to say that with respect to bands like Exodus, Overkill etc... it is amazing over 20 years later when I go to see bands like them that there are fans at the shows that were not even born when their first albums originally came out. i would have never known in 1990 when I saw Overkill at the old Rckndy that almost two decades later, a younger fan base would be coming out to support them and doing so with such passion and energy.

I had to be the oldest guy at Overkill last month, and thrashing around with kids that were 19-23 took it's toll on me up front - but it was amazing. When I was in my late teens I certainly was not listening to bands from the seventies, and still think they all suck balls except for Deep Purple and Thin Lizzy, but it is amazing that with the advent of the internet, downloading music, myspace, etc that younger fans can be exposed to music that without that technology would fade away as obsolete relics of a lost era.

Say what you want about the new singer of Exodus, but seriously what the fuck are they supposed to do - ressurect the old singer from the dead and put him back on tour. I never felt that any ONE member (aside from a solo band like Malmsteen's Rising Force, etc) should be able to hold a band and it's entire back catalogue hostage because he leaves the band, especially when the departure is the result of dying. If you like the Steve Souza era of Exodus, fuck - listen to his work with Meliah Rage. He lives in Boston and is a university teacher now and can't run around with Exodus when he has a normal job and life on the other side of the country.

Can't wait for this show - it's going to rock. I'll see my metal bro's in the bar Ophidian pre-jam style.

I agree with everything above, except for a correction: Zetro still lives in the Bay Area and just joined Tenet, Jed Simon (SYL)'s newest project. His two sons play in a band based out of Walnut Creek named Oskorei (http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbe ... mID=106564).

As for Meliah Rage, you may be confusing him with Sully Erna (drummer on Unfinished Business).

I wish more people were interested in this show. Sure they have a new singer, but like stated numerous times, do you expect Exodus to just call it quits, do you want them to just go instrumental? They're still playing for the fans and all that good crap!

But yeah, bummer that not many people seem interested, I bet it'll still be a good turn out since a lot of people tend to just pay at the door.

the venue makes it so people will refuse to go. Also, them showing up with Kreator[at the same venue for some fucked reason] adds to the problem

Yeah, I hate that fucking place. Not sure about my Saturday yet. We may end up being those paying at the door if I don't have to work.

It's rare to see a national headliner with local metal bands opening in Seattle on a Saturday!

Jody

PM me

I will more than likely get up there about an hour before Exodus goes on which gives me enough time to pre jam and prime the machine with some
Wild Turkey before the show.

Load in starts at 4:30, we will be letting Exodus use our gear (so stoked for that!) so we have to be there by then, but I'm guessing you are all safe if you show up around 5:00.
