Well folks, loading the Wrangler up for a southbound run in a couple of hours to see Kamelot in Portland tonight since I wasn't really able to see the show last night after being physically assaulted and thrown out of the venue during the fourth song of the night.

It gets a little rough up front at metal shows and there were a few people up there last night that couldn't handle the heat and still wanted to stay in the kitchen - it was fckn bullshit. When someone pushes me or tries to weasel their way in front of me, they are going to feel the wrath of Ophidian, it's just that simple. Half way through the fourth song, I was attacked by a silverback gorilla and dragged out of the venue without even a warning.

Oh, and yeah if you noticed Khan didn't have his mic during the second song -that was all me, and I gave it back to him before the guitar solo was finished.

Fuck that venue though. I've heard some twisted stories but have never been the victim of their ridiculous nonsense. Just gave me a reason to take off from work today and launch a southbound attack for tonights show.

Like I said, El Corazon can kiss my fckn ass. Not even a warning and those fuckers wouldn't even let me stay when I said I would stay in the back - their inability to effectively control their club results in a throwing people out without any objective evaluation of the situation. It was ridiculous.

Just got back from Portland.

Absolutely amazing - the crowd was 2 to 3 times as crazy and wild as the El Corazon show but nobody was getting thrown out. It got pretty rough up front, and far worse than Seattle but nobody was getting manhandled and extracted and thrown into the street.

Everything happens for a reason, there were hotter bitches down there in the bar wearing their little Nightwish and Epica shirts on, and I had the pleasure of hanging out with them during Edguy -and the show fckn rocked. Would have been nice to see it in Seattle on Thursday night. The problem with El Corazon is that the security cannot effectively control what is going on so they resort to, by default just throwing people out - it is absolutely sick, the way it all went down on Thursday: I didn't get a warning, they wouldn't let me stay in the back for the rest of the show and if my buddy didn't come outside and hold me back from going back in they were more than ready to pummel me if I tried to launch a counter attack.

Fuck that club - Bottom line is, if and whenever there is a show there with a band I want to see and the same band is playing Portland the night before or after, I am going to drive 3 hours south and see them there. Thursdays experience was just fckn wrong.

Kamelot rocked Portland - love that town, all the hot power metal bitches at the show and you don't even have to pump your own fuel down there.

Worse than butthurt - getting thrown out of Kamelot was a horrible experience and a serious injustice that I have never had to deal with before.

It was like one minute I was right up front laying five down with Khan, and the next, being dragged out by a domesticated silver back gorilla and thrown outside. That venue suxx royal balls.

I did enjoy the pre-jam earlier in the bar with my metal bros though!!
