Lamb of God

Their new cd brings it.

All of you Tr00 br00tal metalheads, if you don't like this cd, you don't really have any idea what makes a good metal band.

They are the only popular metal band that has released a critically acclaimed popular cd and then taken a step back and created a straight up metal record that kicks some serious ass.

It's a good one, for sure. Definitely took a couple of spins to get my head around it though, but the sound feels more "wide open" to me.

I'll listen to it, and be the judge of that. The thing I don't like about them is that they are too slow, and not in a good way. If I want slow Metal, I'll listen to doom. Lamb of God in my opinion have one good song, and I'm pretty sure I heard Lamb of God before most or any of you on here, with their first horrible album, in which all of the solo's are terrible rip off's of Dimebag, which was enough for all the mainstream, stupid ass texan "metalheads" to like back when it came out. Ruin is actually good, but other than that, they suck, and what makes them NOT a metal band is all a matter of opinion. Sure, they are a metal band, but I think they suck. In my opinion, and it is well shared, and might as well be a fact, they are 193828904 better metal bands. But I have no problem with anyone liking whatever they want, so don't view this as an attack. Our new bass player is a fan of Lamb of God And if any of you get butthurt over this, shove it, people talk shit about my music, always have, everywhere I go, "the production this", "the gay face paint that", "the gay vocals" and I'm not just talking about black metal, but death, thrash, and so on. And it never gets to me, so grow a pair.

haha, I originally posted that all drunk and angry at metalheads...which is usually the same for everytime I post shit on the internet. Didn't mean for it to come across as all high and mighty.

Everything from 'Grace' on is out of control. The rest of the cd is badass, but that song is when everything gets brought to the next level.

Yeah, whatever music you're into, word up. I first saw LoG opening for Six Feet Under at the Catwalk (anybody remember that place?) - playing 4 or 5 songs, 2nd out of 6 bands. I bought Burn the Priest(original pressing). James from Aod, Hatefist, Drown Mary got kicked out during their set for having too much fun, good times...but fuck the Catwalk.

So yeah, when I posted I was all drunk and having a good time listening to their new CD.

With Ashes Of The Wake being such a GREAT album Sacrament took a little while to grow on me but I dig it now. This one is certainly a quality piece but at the same time it takes a bit to get used to how they're evolving. With that said, I'd rather see a band take new steps from album to album than to put out the same thing time after time.
