i got this bass for my birthday not sure who manufactured it any one have a clue ???

My money would be on Epiphone, but if it was made pre '76 it could be anyone.
The only "investment" with a guaranteed high rate of return is EDUCATION. Go rent a cheap shack and get your asses back to college or trade school. Don't come out until you're not stupid anymore~ Pat the Wise!

that it use to be alex maggotbrains from the accused old bass .... blaine has confirmed that alex did have a red flyin v bass at one time

It looks like it's been repainted so just judging from the pics posted it's anyone's guess. I, regrettably, don't have a lot of knowledge of the Accused nor the gear they used so that's of no help to me. It would be easy to dismiss it as an Epiphone/Gibson just based off of the headstock but these days there are a million knock off manufactures out there. The bridge and tuners look original so I'd start there.

Good luck in your quest but then again, who cares who made it? The real question is whether you like how it plays and sounds.

I'd also like to add that to whoever made it, you would hope they would have taken a little bit of care when they routed the truss rod cavity on the headstock. It looks like a couple of drunk beavers chewed that one out.

You could be right Oof... I was thinking Arbor or Cort.

Used to have an Arbor 6 string V... Whew, what a dog. Finally set fire to it.

well i been also told it could be a hamer ....i don't think it a arbor....it look liek ther was once a tone knob who evere had it before me did some hokey as wiring and now i gotta digg out my soldering iron

If it's an Arbor, it will weigh 300 lbs at least.

The headstock shape looks very familiar, but I can't quite place it.
