I don't know what you do, what you're qualified to do nor what you're looking to go into but I wouldn't think that this is the greatest time to be quitting a job. At least not without having an absolute "sure thing" to move into.

if you live close to kent, i think that we are going to be hiring some warehouse people in the next month or so to ramp up for summer.

Anyone who is VOLUNTARILY leaving a job right now needs to have their fucking head examined. I could get more in-depth with this, but you don't REALLY want an all-access backstage pass to my misery.
