I was a bit of a Marilyn Manson fanatic in the 90s (don't worry, I grew out of it). From what I remember reading, the Child Catcher character had quite a disturbing impact on him and was obviously a major influence for Smells Like Children. I want to say I saw Chitty Chitty Bang Bang when I was a kid but I really have no recolection of this stuff.

We DID NOT play this show last night!
Drove up there and it was an all ages pool hall, with zero people there. Apparently they have been "struggling" to get customers lately. They were also trying to charge $5. cover ... ? (to kids, bars havent even been charging lately) No promo was done outside the whiteboard in the place, and what the bands did on website, etc. .... not 1 kid from Mt. Vernon.
There was 3 other bands there to service whoever showed up, so we politely backed out and drove home. I haven't "walked out" on a show since I been playing in Seattle (1991), ... but this was just fucking pointless. The 3 fans of ours who drove up - got invited to the private party we're playing tonight.
I wouldn't recommend booking there ... dint find out til I got there that the booking arrangement was "the first 25 ppl paid goes to the house, everything after that splits to the bands" ... dumb. Stupid venue.

We had a great time and a good turn out when we played, of course we found out most of the details beforehand...

We and many other bands have had no problem there. We have had a good time playing there! The bands need to put up their own fliers or call the place and have them put up fliers that are sent. Just ask and they will put up fliers for you. Most shows in Seattle area are at least 5$ for a cover, dont know why this place should be different. We have had quite a few people there and the last show i went to see (VULGARIZER, SACRAMENT OF IMPURITY, INSANITY ENTHRONED) there were quite a few people there as well! If there is a new venue you are playing i would recommend finding out the 'scoupe' about the show and determine if it is worth you driving the distance and pay the gas money etc...I have played many shows in the NW and got burned, so now it is wise to find out all details before commiting.

In defense of Just Fun & Games, it is not just a 'pool hall' either.
In addition to several pool tables they have a game room with Air Hockey, darts, fooz ball etc. 2 other rooms with 50" TVs with online Halo and Rock Band and another TV room dedicated to watching movies all accommodated by comfy couches and EZ chairs. They have a stage set up with a drum riser in yet another room that can hold a decent crowd, and a concession stand in the lobby that is not grossly over priced.
A kids 5 dollars gets them a pretty good time in that place
