Evil Dead II

Ok, I just now saw this for the very first time and I know what the hype was all about!! I loved it!!! It's got all the elements of a good horror film: A bad plot, gay-ass acting, cheezy villians(if somewhat grotesque at times) and a hero who don't know his elbow from his ass.

Forgive me if I've offended anyone, but you have to admit that's as much an excelent film as I am a brain surgeon. Evil Dead II is a little freaky though. The scene with everything laughing at Ash is a little unnerving.

To put it shortly, watch this film if you love blood, guts, and plenty of cheese Image

Dude, if you don't think that Evil Dead II is a masterpiece you've got serious issues.

Sure, it's no Exorcist, but it's not supposed to be. It's a comedy horror. The production values are EXCELLENT (ie. the effects are top notch and such) and the camera work is nothing short of superb. If you give me a DECENT film that does what it aims to achieve at better, I still probably won't listen because Evil Dead II was one of the films which introduced me to the world of halfway decent cinema.

Holy shit! How did you ever manage to graduate US Mainstream Horror 101 without seeing EVIL DEAD 2? Its definitely in the curriculum.

Seriously though, although this movie gets praised to high heaven, it deserves it all. Its an astonishing accomplishment that a few poorly chosen words here couldn't do justice to.

So now you know what to expect, sit back and watch it again. You'll find multiple viewings rewarding. And hey, what's a sandwich without cheese? Its meant to be there! Enjoy it.

Seeing Evil Dead 2 for the first time is somewhat similar to waking up from the Matrix.

Welcome... to the real world, Neo.

It was after I saw that movie way back in the day that I realized that there were better horror movies than Friday or Nightmare on Elm Street.

This is one of those movies that's so classic that after awhile you really start to take it for granted. Then you sit down with some buds, pop it into your player of choice and instantly, from the very first sequence, you remember why it is you like horror movies......anything goes.

Ok, you got me, I admit it, I made a mistake in saying what I said about Evil Dead II. It is true that it is a little cheezy, but that's good because of the horror-comedy hybrid that this film is. It's all good now
