I'd agree with this, but I also saw elements of Night (the bit where Jim goes up the stairwell at his parents' house reminded me of the stairs scene in Night) and The Crazies. The infected were cool, and reminded me of a much better done version of the vampire teens in Darkness. Wait, they didn't remind me of that, 'cause it didn't exist. It was LIKE a better done version of the vampire teens in Darkness.
