Here it is folks, the date that will mark the end of George Romero's long overdue zombie journey with 'Land of the Dead', the fourth and final of his planned sequels. The official release date for the now dubbed George Romero's Land of the Dead is October 21st, 2005! Following 'Night of the Living Dead,' 'Dawn of the Dead' and 'Day of the Dead,' 'Land' begins when the zombies having taken over the world and those left alive are confined to a walled-in city that keeps out the corpse corps. Anarchy rules the streets, with the wealthy insulated and living in fortified skyscrapers. Drama revolves around a group of scavengers who must thwart an attempt to overthrow the city while the dead are evolving from brainless slow-moving creatures into more advanced creatures.

Here's some casting info. Dennis Hopper, John Leguizamo, Asia Argento, Robert Joy, and Tom Savini have all been cast for the film though what roles they will play are still unknown.
Also, KNB FX, headed up by Day of the Dead's Greg Nicotero (a Savini protege) will handle all the blood and guts.

I'm pretty sure Hopper will be the big bad guy of the film. Asia may or may not play his daughter who's got something going on with some guy in the battle truck 'Dead Reckoning'. I think Savini and Leguizamo will be playing Reckoning heavies... who the fuck is Robert Joy?

I hope this becomes so huge that people are forced to give money to Amando de Ossorio lots of money for his zombie movie.
Assuming he's not dead again, of course.
