August Underground, most disturbing?

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this movie before here but then I heard this movie was the most distrubing thing ever, so I'm curious about it. If it's just simple straightforward snuff, I don't think I'd buy it cause that would be boring.

I didn't think it was that bad... or that shocking, I couldn't see why some people went on about it. It's definately ALOT better then it's sequel (Mordum)... which was just horrible IMO. I've seen movies that I find to be way more disturbing then August Underground... ie Aftermath being one of them.

I thought August Underground had a bit of a seedy feel to it... maybe I'm just jaded at this point... but I thought it was one of those movies that was shocking just for the sake of being shocking... ESPECIALLY it's sequel... which again is just awful... I don't think I can stress that enough.

heh, I'll be sure to skip Mordum, it's the only one I've been able to find so far, haven't seen the 1st one for sale yet, although I think I won't buy it cause people complain about the shaky camera.

I still haven't seen Aftermath yet either, been looking for it for like forever.

Mordum is a big fucking steaming pile of poo. The Jerry Springer show does gore, with a bunch of drunken fuckwits on and behind the camera. I bought this based on a series of dick dripping raves in the genre press. Fuck, it was so goddamn annoying I turned it off half way through. Amateurish to the extreme, NOT disturbing,NOT convincing in the least. BORING as shit. It reminded me of stagey videos teenagers film to show off amateurishly bad gore effects and try and shock mom and dad. It doesn't even touch the Guinea Pig series or Cannibal Holocaust.

The Guinea Pig films that I seen haven't disturbed me along the lines of Aftermath or as you mentioned Cannibal Holocaust...

I think The Devil's Experiment is great!

How dare you insult the Jerry Springer show like that... at least it's watchable... Mordum though is awful! The thing I hated about it the most was the drama for your mama screaming... on and on and on... while watching it I was like would they just shut the fuck up already... it was really grating! Fortunately I didn't have to drop the money on it... as my husband did and showed it to me on one of our first dates... how romantic huh? :D

I'm of the opinion that nothing can top Aftermath (Unearthed is releasing it on DVD with Genesis early next year). I'm sorry. It's impossible to top that film, unless your name is Salo... but that's another story entirely.

How can you get a copy of August Underground?

Curious to see it.

I have to go with Kimberly on AFTERMATH, I don't think I've ever experienced a film as disturbing and shocking as that. That just stayed with me as soon as I finished watching it and I'm just as numb to this shit as anyone else. Any ideas when they plan to release this next year? Is it going to be in NTSC or PAL?

Don't say you weren't warned on how completely shitty this movie is...

You can get it at their website at:
