Oh, I'm fully boned up for this one, just a pity that the DAWN and TCM remakes had better, more enticing trailers.

I think this was a quicky trailer. I'm sure there will be more in June... Ever think that Romero used the RE music in the trailer as a fuck you to Paul "Resident Evil" Anderson? Then again he probably had nothing to do with the trailer...

Oh man, I can't wait. I mean its been 20 years and now the dead are back! I have one concern with the release date though. June isn't that far off. Is that enough time to market and promote the film? Maybe they'd have been better off waiting until July or August? Just a thought.

Time to change the underwear...

I can't wait to see how it turns out. I'm not gonna get too excited though. Reading his Toe Tags comic really left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth.

Details? Just curious, Haven't read it. Why does it suck?

Well, it doesn't totally suck, it just has lots of stuff in it I didn't care for. The main hero is a zombie injected with a serum that gives him intelligence who hooks back up with his girlfriend and an elephant called Mister Tembo (and after an opening like that, it would have to be amazing to win me back). This scientist who created the serum is looking for the cause of good and evil in human blood. There's an army of the dead that has been infiltrated by living people pretending to be dead (a fine idea in a comedy such as Shaun, but here it seems pretty stupid, imo) and a guy who wants to take over the world. The whole thing seemed very hurried and just didn't play well. I wasn't a fan of the artwork either.

The story was called "The Death of Death" and I guess George had released two installments of a story of the same name on his website so I assume it's the same thing. I haven't gotten around to reading that yet though.

Wow finally a movie to look foward to. I just hope romero pulls the whole cow intestines instead of comp animation, that one scene in day of the dead always makes me smile (when the zombies are ripping apart the jackass). One thing im hoping for is that they don't run like they're in the olympics like in the shitty remake of dawn of the dead...I think we are all due for some romero we never seen before :)

What would make you think the guy would bow to studio pressure? The reason this script has been sitting on a shelf for nearly ten years is because no one would let him do what he wanted to.

And if it wasn't for that "shitty remake", Land of the Dead probably wouldn't have been kicked to the fast track. So quickly, in fact, that Diamond Dead was almost to the production phase when the studio mainlined money into the zombie project with only minor contractual conditions (R rating theatrically, title).

Unlike the recent "Dawn..." remake, everybody this time is really going to be absolutely agreeing together on this one, since we've all been looking Really forward to its arrival, and it looks like george Romero will deliver more than he has promised with this upcoming film.

wow lol those pictures look promising. I was worrying about how much he'd be able to get away with but I suppose there's no need for that anymore

Cool, I'll have to keep an eye out of that game. I've been wanting a first person zombie shooter for ages now. Hopefully it'll deliver.

That review from the Joblo site is a way better, and far more descriptive review than the one posted at Fred Olen Ray's site, for reading that Joblo review alone has me even more excited than before about this film(as much as everybody else here). :metalhead :metal:
