As much as people tend to can it, www.horrordvds.com is an invaluable resource for things like this.

"Special editions coming on August 27th:

The Fog with new documentary, original featurette, John Carpenter and Debra Hill commentary, outtakes, trailers, and TV spots.

Last House on the Left - UNCUT. Documentary, commentary by Wes Craven and Sean Cunningham, rare outtakes, and a trailer.

Return of the Living Dead - New transfer, new sound mix, director commentary, featurette, and a trailer."

Told you they rocked. Image

Allan.

hey, alright! Return of the Living Dead! It's been so long since I've seen that movie yet the 45 Grave theme song stays with me. I'll have to pick that up when it happens.

The Fog isn't such a bag thing either.

Did the Escape From New York special edition ever come out?

I know it has its problems, and its not the greatest movie ever made, but there is something about Serpent and The Rainbow. I've seen that fucker about 8 times. Love that movie, hope a DVD comes out soon!

45 Grave? Are you fucking crazy? Which version of that stupid song is stuck in your head? Any band that records at least 8 versions of one song is bound to suck. Sorry, I really HATE that band and just read with great glee the story about Bob Noxious beating up Dinah Cancer at a SF 45 Grave concert. Good thing Don Bolles got kicked out of The Germs for being in that stupid band. Dear lord, they sucked!

I can't wait for the LHOTL DVD, it sounds fucking awesome. I'm with you, Valgamon...Hills Have Eyes is an incredible film and deserves to be on DVD. Fuck it, EVERY Craven movie up until People Under The Stairs (yes, EVEN Shocker and HHE 2) need to be preserved. Craven's newer movies can go fuck, but there's just something about his older movies that I can't explain.

Updates:

Universal Europe recently released both "THE PEOPLE UNDER THE STAIRS" and "THE SERPENT AND THE RAINBOW" on DVD (PAL/R2+4). They are widely available, and pretty cheap. I recommend http://www.blackstar.co.uk

Image Entertainment apparently at one point released "Serpent" on DVD in the US, but it's now OOP.

"Last House" is coming to US DVD in August.

Absolutely no word on "Hills," which is the one I want the most Image

Yeah, they've got R4 versions of PEOPLE and SERPENT out here but beware, they are PAL.
http://www.ezydvd.com.au/

Should be cheaper than getting the UK/R2 copies.

I've got a mate who picked up the image SERPENT so yeah, I can vouch for its release.

You know, Dave... I don't own a single 45 Grave album, but I'll tell you, I still like that song a lot. And anyway, Sheer Terror includes I, Spoiler on just about all of their albums and I don't mind that either. They're still my favorite band of all time. So there!

Someone was actually asking me if Hills Have Eyes was on DVD the other day and I didn't know. It's definitely a movie I'd like to see on disc. I never saw the sequel. A friend of mine who I used to rent movies with all the time back in the day told me that it suck-diddly-ucked so we never got around to it.

Y'know, I've actually seen some Italian-language DVDs of HILLS rotting on eBay for ludicrously jacked-up prices. I'd have considered buying it except for the sad fact that it's only in Italian and I've begun to hate dubbing in US flicks (For all my Canucks out there, check out the Pierce Brosnan dub job done on Abel Ferrara's voice on the Canadian DRILLER KILLER VHS), and it would suck to hear Papa Jupe and Pluto's wonderful voices (as well as Michael Berryman's struggles to keep his accent) dubbed over by some out-of-work Italian hack like Andrea Occhipinti or Urbano Barberini.

However, it'd be hilarious to hear Bobby Rhodes overdub Big Bob Carter.

Hey Muncher, munch some big black cock.

The info on HorrorDVDs was stolen wholesale from DVD Drive-In, a much superior site. It's address is http://www.dvddrive-in.com
George Reis works his ass off to get his news from the sources themselves and doesn't rely on items recycled solely from other sites, unlike the shithole you're championing. Plus he writes intelligent, informative and knowledgeable reviews, again unlike the shithole you're championing. Give respect where respect is due, which ISN'T to the plagiarists and wannabes.

You got a problem with black cock, Bruce?

Yes, so I'm mistaken.
