That was a very informative review, as well as a good one:)
That message board u were talking about, wouldn't happen to be this one would it? I seem to to remember a little over a year ago Roger Watkins came to this board, after like u said, his girlfriend had posted here first. In the short time he was here, he did provide a great deal of information on LHODES. He also mentioned (or we mentioned) interest in a DVD release of his film. It's nice to see the dream of a that DVD come to fruition. That the DVD is so full of extraz is an amazing achievement, considering the source material, and the time the film was made. It is definitely a film I'm putting at the top of my to buy list come October 22:)
Maybe Chris can post the original topic post from a year ago, so we can all read it again.
Ps: U mentioned there was some interviews on the net, that took place after the board visitation, where would these interviews be located? Oh, and why was Roger Watkins drunk in your hotel room? It seems like an interesting story, mind filling us in?

I'll do that when I get home tonight, I'm pretty sure I have that archived.Originally posted by PECKER{*x*}WOOD

EDIT: I *was* sure I had it archived but can't seem to find it anywhere. I think it may have been lost forever in the forum change

I saw the post and realized today was the 24th so I went to amazon to order my copy of this DVD. Unsurprisingly this disc has been pushed back yet again. I now have to wait almost another month to buy this. Whats the deal with these people? I don't think any of their releases have come out on time. C'mon already, get it together!

Finding a copy of LHODES that wasn't a murky 4th generation bootleg was something of a Holy Grail for me back in the days of tape trading via contacts in the free Fangoria classifieds. Been looking forward to this disc for ages.
I also think that a thread on another forum about director Jeff Lieberman brought him out of the woodwork and is resulting in his work getting special DVD treatment. Perhaps I should start a thread on Wim Vink or Ari Rousimoff, always wondered what their stuff was like...

Yes, this messageboard was the one I referred to in my review. After Roger posted here I got in contact with him about doing a piece in my never published ‘zine Pages of Filth. I then passed his contact info over to friend Art Ettinger, who conducted the interview and wrote up a bunch of reviews of Watkins’ porno flicks, all of which can finally be seen in Ultra Violent #4.
Last October, Roger came out to the Chiller convention and spent the weekend partying down with the UV crew (me, Scott, Killjoy, Art, etc). It was a fun time.
Besides the things linked to my review, Jay Slater interviewed Roger for The Dark Side magazine.
