I just saw on Blue Underground's website that they are releasing Jess Franco's JUSTINE (aka DEADLY SANCTUARY) on DVD November 5. This will be the 124 minute version that is a half-hour longer than the old Monterey Video release. The extras seem pretty light, but I'm just glad to have this on DVD especially in its entirety. Plus IMO it is one of Franco's better films as well as one of my personal favorites. Here are the specs if anyone is interested:

This company is fairly new (and I have not seem any of the few discs they have put out), but it looks like they are one to keep an eye on. They have classics such TWO EVIL EYES and SALON KITTY listed as future releases. Bring 'em on!

I also noticed that they have EMANUELLE IN AMERICA listed on their "future release" schedule. Does that mean that Anchor Bay is no longer planning to release this title?

Both of Blue Underground's November Jess Franco titles look gorgeous and if you're a fan you won't be let down. As for extras, there's a very-informative featurette, trailer, stills gallery and liner notes - what else exactly do you need?

My reviews of Blue Underground's September titles (THE PROWLER, TOOLBOX MURDERS and SHOCK WAVES) will be in Ultra Violent issue #5, which should hit stores in about 3 weeks. My reviews of their October titles can be found at Mondo Digital:
(REVOLVER is up now and I was told GRAND SLAM would be up sometime this weekend.)
