While I'm not a huge Hoffman fan... I have to say that I really enjoyed him in this film. Going from mild mannered to bitch slapping don't fuck with me kinda guy. While I thought the film was a little slow in build up for the finale... I think it was well worth the wait. Is this movie still banned in the UK?

I live in the UK, and yes after 30, count em 30 years it's STILL banned. Apparently the most recent distributor who submitted it to the censor was told it could be released if cuts were made to Susan George's rape scene but the distributor said no way were they gonna cut it, hence it's still unavailable.

I still have yet to see this movie. I can't seem to find it anywhere. People seem to shun it. Is it really that bad?
