Evil Dead 2 in Tacoma

Post by crustypop »

If you've got nothing better to do on a saturday night evil dead 2 in playin at Tacoma General Cinema at midnight. Plus its only $5.50. Well worth it.
Plus, anyone know where House of a 1000 corpses is playing? Or am I retarded and its still not out yet? The soundtrack came out today so I was just wondering.

Actually the one its playing at is a privately owned one run by volunteers that has only 3 screens. Its pretty cool and the popcorn kicks ass. A huge bag for $1.50.

Cool! I just might have to go down there and see it. All I need is a date.

Then I'd end up spending money on four tickets. She takes up three seats.

I actually took my mom to Evil Dead 2 during its initial theatrical run! She liked it too :)

I could see my mom liking Evil Dead 2... she's kind of weird and loves kung fu movies, so I don't think a little Ash action would be out of the question.

Also, if you haven't seen Evil Dead 2 on the big screen with an audience, you haven't seen it at all. It becomes a much different movie when you add the crowd dynamic.

moms a fruit

Post by crustypop »

My mom had a bad enough time dealing with me wearing all black in high school and dating boyfriends with long hair and tattoos. I think she would pass out in the theater and pull out her rosary and do some hail marys.

But she is me mom and hell she sometimes brings me cookies at work. You can't beat that.

I think seeing the latest version of "the Exorsist" a few years back in the theater was soo worth it after watching it on video tape for years.

Where is this place exactly? I might make a road trip if I can find directions.

directions

Post by crustypop »

My directions are poor so look it up on Yahoo Maps but its Tacoma General Cinema, its on the corner of 6th Ave. and Fawcett St.

Take I-5 south and then take the city center exit (also I-705) merge and go west about a mile then take the stadium way exit it wraps up around the hill and then go right at the light. The first opportunity to left turn. Go up 3 stopsigns to Fawcett St. turn left, 2 block down fawcett on the right is the Merlino Art Center and the theater is there almost a spec of dust, but there is parking everywhere.

Good Luck
