Anyone else going to the showing of the original Nightmare movie with the montage of kills??? Am I the only one that is REALLY excited for this??

It's only in Everett and Auburn, but I figure it's worth the drive!

SORRY!! Jeez! Some of us have jobs! Jobs with big brothers!!!

It's Wednesday and Thursday, as in tomorrow and the day after. It's at the big ass theater in Everett and at the supermall in Auburn. 8PM, ten bucks. I went to bigscreenboxoffice.com and it just redirected me to Fandango. I AM REALLY FUCKING EXCITED ABOUT THIS ONE! Seriously.. it's kind of peculiar, really. Anyone going? I plan on being well on my way to intoxicated by the time it lets in, anyone else?

good job boner. You could have came over and got wasted and then I would have gone too. The place is like a mile from where I live.

Yeah, I thought of that. But then we were late as hell. We got there 10 minutes before, and just enough time to find the Red Robin across the street to run in and get a quick shot.

The lovers spat above me notwithstanding, was that cool or what? The montage of kills was worth the price of admission alone!

Seeing as Angelica are a unit, I'll split up the night in two segments. She can give the review on the movie details and I'll review the surrounding atmosphere.

Everett. Judging by the crowd at the theater, it was a very quiet night in the trailor parks. I saw what... like 15 Def Leppard shirts on "women" and about 10 men with leather trenchcoats and long hair (Dumbasses don't realize there can only be One in Highlander, not ten).

I stood in line to get popcorn, a big girthy weiner and a cherry coke for about 20 minutes. Seems Birtha and Billy Bob wanted to stock their bombshelters/cranklabs with 8 boxes of "Goobers". Holy shit, and they both drooled when ordering.

We sat down and the movie started. And like all Everettonians, the crowd waited till 6 minutes into the movie (right in the quiet about to be scary buildup) to open their Goobers and cans of Natural Light that they smuggled in. Anything that had a loud wrapper, they had trouble opening. The crowd next to me... snorted when they were (a) excited (b) laughing (c) scared and (d) breathing.

Other than that, the movie and following montage ruled! It was like seeing the first Elm Street movie for the first time.

Ha ha ha. Sounds like we had a more refined crowd in Auburn. Not quite affluent but nary a mullet in sight. Yeah, despite countless viewings on VHS and DVD it really did kinda feel like seeing it for the first time.

You call your wife "a unit"?? I like your style. I have been calling mine "fuck hole one" but I think I like the unit scheme.

"A unit, grab me a beer and make me a sandwich". "that floor isn't going to mop itself A Unit". "A unit, put on some makeup you look horrible" ... Yeah I could get used to that.

That is the reason the last movie I saw in the theater was Roger Rabbit.

Yes, it was indeed priceless!!!

Seeing the movie on the big screen was great, it brought out a lot that I didn't really remember focusing on when I saw it before, i.e.: the awesome tecnho/porn/cheese music! I remember it being there a bit, but it was so fun to hear it kick in right when Freddy was about to do something. Is he gunna kill someone or break out into some Travolta moves?? It was a lot of fun. I was impressed with the montage too. I thought it was just going to be a handful of the "best" kills but it was ALL of them! HAhaha. Beautiful!
The people were pretty obnoxious, just in that they were so damn quiet! I was expecting cheering and laughter, and "YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!" but there was none of that. I think they all had a lude or some shit before the movie. Some of them even left before the montage. What the hell is that about??? I knew about it (obviously) before the showing, but they were also running ads for it SAYING to WAIT TILL AFTER THE MOVIE FOR A MONTAGE!!!!!!!! Who the fuck turns down a Freddy montage. Idiots. Maybe they were just illiterate.

Jody, have you ever thought of being with someone that you consider interesting enough to have around more than just as a maid, or cute enough that you didn't have to tell her to go put on a bunch of make up to hide her face? I mean, I think she's sweet and cute and all that but.... I dunno... I'm just sayin....

Obviously I am joking, A Unit does not wear any make up. Well rarely. Maybe if we are going out she does, and I think she look weird cause I never see her in make up. Yes I am lucky.
