Street Trash 2? Yes!

Post by Latte Thunder »

It's interesting how the horror cycle works. Ten years ago, we were all pissing and moaning about the horror movies hitting theaters that ripped off every move from the classic slashers and now, ten years later, there's a big wave of splashy indie horror coming back. It seemed to start with Sliter, there's a new Henenlotter on the way and now Street Trash 2.

Somewhere David Austin is smiling.

Personally, I never cared for the original much though, so I didn't read the whole interview. But I thought the opening question was sort of funny. Land was 20 years after Day and he shoulda known that! lol

Yes, but you don't like anything that's bloody and funny. Prude.

Hahaha, that's awesome. I swear to god I was thinking of saying "though it's better than Bad Taste", but thought to myself, nah, I won't start... lol

Come on, you guys. Go there.

Since Shawn hsn't shown his face in so long, I've been longing for a good Horrornews flame war and nothing takes me back quite like a Bad Taste "discussion".

Well, allow me to act as "agent provocateur." Since BAD TASTE (not the Anchor Bay version) has slipped into the public domain in the U.S.? Watch for a special MANOR in two weeks, featuring the opening of "Umbuzie's Creamy Cheesy Restaurant." There is NO better companion film.

As for STREET TRASH 2? I just got finished watching THE MELTDOWN MEMOIRS, and I can't wait to see what these guys DO with a sequel, even though I know they'll never match the experience of the original.

You see... I'M one of those lucky dogs who saw it first run on the big screen! Changed my life, I tell ya...
My dog's breath smells like peanut butter...

...and I don't even have a dog!

There's not much to discuss. Bad Taste is cinematic perfection, and anyone that disagrees is just wrong.

Yikes, things must be really tame around here if you're longing to rehash our little disagreement over this film.

And fwiw, I have no problem with movies that are bloody and funny (I love DeadAlive and Bride of Frank, etc..) but this one just didn't make me laugh at all. Neither did Meet The Feebles. It's South Park. It's cheap.

Well, if Remo is showing the film, I'll make a point to watch it again. But I doubt I'll change my mind.
