Clive Barker's Book of Blood

Post by Chris Slack » Fri Sep 25, 2009 10:04 pm

I just finished watching it and thought it was pretty damned good. I had my doubts about making a full length film from what was basically an introduction to the book but it delivered. This could easily have been made as an all out gorefest but they did a good job of making it feel like there was a lot more violence than there really was. I hope this does well on it's direct to DVD release as I'd really like to see some more of the "Books of Blood" made as movies.

This is out on DVD now so check it out!

Yep, I read about this a few weeks ago (to my surprise at not knowing before that) and it seemed like it might have some merit. I've been planning on grabbing it tomorrow too.

We finally got to watch it tonight (after a disgruntling amount of false advertising at who actually had a copy) and yeah, it was surprisingly good. I didn't realize that Clive was actually involved in this one. YEAY!!! :metalhead

~ And I'm espcially starving all over again for Abarat III, seeing him in front of his paintings' again...
