Style Wars DVD

I don't know how many people around here are interested in early hip hop culture (which I find pretty interesting). It's about the youth scene in New York City in 1982. The documentary's main focus is on grafitti, which is fucking impressive here, but also covers break dancing and hip hop. You're introduced to some of the bigger names behind the art found on trains and get some insight into why they spray up a train car and not just a big canvas. It's all pretty interesting stuff. I highly recommend it.

My only gripe is that it's short. It runs just a little under 70 minutes and the two disc box is a little on the pricey side. I went to some of the chains around here to see if I could rent it, at first, but none of them carried it.
