Is anyone gonna bother to see WINDTALKERS?

As in not off. If you want to post about mainstream flicks, this is the forum.

...or have we pretty much all but given up on John Woo? Can't say I'm too enthused about this one.

D'ya think Hollywood will ever let him write his own flick, and if so, would it be any good? Its been ten years since he last gave us what we really wanted. His mind could've turned to mush since then.

Maybe we should start an online petition to get him deported back to Hong Kong. Afterall, TIME AND TIDE was so much better than anything Tsui Hark did in the States with that Belgian ninny. Maybe it'll work for Woo?

So WINDTALKERS is Johnny Woo's latest. Here I was thinking that it was a scifi/teen comedy about college kids communicating only by farts.
Just saw the trailer and haven't really gotten a boner for it.

Who'd have thought that I'd be turning my nose up at big screen releases of films by John Woo & Saim Raimi, and less than impressed by the latest from Peter Jackson all within 6 months...
