clerks - uncensored (if you ain't... SEE IT!)

Post by nme666 »

in happier dvd purchase news...

Image

"Near-"Simpsons"-level moments of subversive brilliance are reached." - filmthreat.com

"...the amount of laughs-per-minute and creative lunacy in "Clerks: Uncensored" definitely deserves more than the meager attention it originally received. On creative merits alone "Clerks: Uncensored" deserves to mentioned along with other misunderstood TV classics like "Police Squad" (1982) and the Emmy-winning "Ben Stiller Show" (1993), which also bombed their first time at bat on network TV only to become cult hits." - psxnation.com

(yep... i'm an instant ZEALOT about this.)

OMFG, THIS IS SOME FUNNY-ASS SHIT!!! i have NOT laughed like this in a WHILE. the cartoon network needs to get kevin smith to do more and throw clerks on adult swim.

'OH NO! CAR FULL OF MIDGETS!'

if you haven't seen these, DO.

$9.99 at fred meyer.

There are rumors that these episodes are being picked up by Cartoon Network for their Adult Swim block later this year. They'll probably run it like they did FLCL. If things go well, there might be a resurrection ala Family Guy (new episodes and whatnot).

Personally, I thought the show was so so. Each episode had it's moments but nothing that really grabbed me.

Who is driving car? Bear is driving car! How can that be?

I've had this for a while now. Funny stuff. Too bad they only made a few episodes. That anime spoof kills me every time.
I have to return some videotapes.

Fallen Angels new CD "Rise From Ashes" available now from Metal On Metal Records,. Visit our Myspace page here for samples.

As a huge fan of Kevin Smith I thought that they were OK. There are a few really funny gems in each episode. There are a few episodes that are consistently funny. I had high expectations that were not met in regards to these.

I like the introduction from Jay where he adds in all of the swear words.

Own them anyways and judge their merits for yourself!

I never saw Cabin Fever but I did see Drawing Flies which probably was far less popular and had fewer rentals. Drawing flies is a great Soundgarden song but a very poor View Askew affiliate.
