Decent movie, a little too long and the ending was a serious drag.
The ending was awesome, what did you expect that they would live happily ever after. He died protecting her and after he got home.
That was his daughter in the end a few years later when they were working on the farm.
As far as obsessing, I only do that when watching Gods and Generals. I've watched it about 24 times.
