Phone Booth

Post by Remo D »

Will I ever forgive Joel Schumacher for 8MM? Probably not... but when the screenplay's by Larry Cohen, I'm there, regardless.

And I'm not sorry--as far as I'm concerned, PHONE BOOTH is a crackerjack: short, sweet and to the point.

This is shaping up to be Colin Farrell's year... he's good in good movies (THE RECRUIT) and he's good in so-so movies (DAREDEVIL)--now he gets a chance to dominate an entire film from beginning to end (though the voice-only Kiefer Sutherland gives him serious competition). This is the sort of role that I would imagine actors dream of... no shortage of closeups or screentime--and not a bit of it's wasted!

It's tense, it's blackly humorous, and it never threatens to overstay its welcome--no complaints here!
My dog's breath smells like peanut butter...

...and I don't even have a dog!
