The Fog on DVD

Post by Rich » Mon Sep 09, 2002 8:48 am

Watched this great little scary and atmospheric film last night and the DVD makes it look all the better compared to my first viewing on the dark and grainy VHS release awhile back. Not overly gory its still very entertaining but sadly gets dragged down by being released right after Carpentars most famous film "Halloween", expectations few horror films can live up to. I enjoyed the documentaries included and the fact they had to go back and re-shoot scenes to make the film "scarier" and more "effective", very interesting considering the film had to open alongside a Canuck's most famous film "Scanners", feeling the pressure of Cronenberg were ya Johnny Boy!? hehehe. The Fog is definitely a great DVD to pick up, should be easy to find, got it at Wal-Mart of all places for the every day low price of $17.88 Check it out!
