"Muertos de Risa" anyone?

Post by Chris Slack »

Finally got around to seeing another Álex de la Iglesia movie that I hadn't seen yet and loved it. Amazingly enough I got it off of Netflix, hell I wasn't even aware this had a US release! Santiago Segura was as good as ever in this fairly twisted black comedy about a comedy duo who rise to fame in the 70's. If you're a fan of Iglesia's movies (Accion Mutante, Perdita Durango, Day of the Beast, etc...) check this out! If any of you saw this one I wonder if you enjoyed it as much as I did?

I have 800 Bullets in my list too, I may just end up buying it though because I liked it so much when I saw it theatrically a couple of years ago. Not enough to shell out for a PAL import though :)

Cool, I hadn't even heard of this until you mentioned it. I must admit, I've never been a huge fan of Álex de la Iglesia, but his movies have certainly been worth seeing at least. It's now in my list too. :)

It's funny, I was gonna post earlier that it would be interesting if netflix had a thing whereby one could view anothers queue, but didn't because it seemed sort of dumb. But one could likely get some good ideas of what to watch just by looking at likeminded peoples queues. Though I think I have something like 130 movies in mine so eventually I'll get to everything anyway.....:)

They have a feature where you can do this... or something along those lines... the "friends" list...

Just got done watching this now and I think it's my favorite Iglesia film so far. The comedy was not of the laugh out loud sort, but was just the sort of absurd thing I like. The last scene in Bruno's house was great. The actor who played Bruno also sort of reminded me of Ezio Greggio, though not as silly and I love that their whoe routine is based on something so stupid. Thanks for the heads up. Very entertaining movie!
