Doom Metal

Post by Waste Ov Flesh »

anyone here listen to this style of music? looking for fans of bands like Shape of Despair, Funeral, Deinonychus, Evoken, Pantheist, and the like.

If the only band you know in this genre is my dying bride, please do not respond to this.

Sounds more like you are talking funeral doom rather than the more readily known forms of doom metal :)

Thergathon, Winter, Disembowelment, The Funeral Orchestra...

Good shit!

cool people here actually know doom metal, and Im not going to waste my time with semantics :p I could be more specific, and say stoner doom and uhm, not even sure what bands like YOB or Penance are called, but those arent included(the latter style being decent, but still boring).

you guys play anything? Im a vocalist looking to start a doom band. Already got possible guitarist and drummer but they are younger.

what the hell is wrong with MDB? You cant come off and tell me you dont like any of thier works, they have made some great albums. Personally, the first Paradise Lost record "Lost Paradise" is my favorite.

I find myself to be very partial towards bands like Khanate, and Thorr's Hammer. although I do appriciate theregothon, and winter, as well as Unearthly Trance.. doom is probably one of the few forms of music I could talk about for days

Loclally speaking, I really dig lesbian.

I know aaron already, his previous works with 2mendead are far superior to that(sadly they were never properly released), and don't suffer from the production problems the grevious release does
