The Eye 10

Post by Kimberly »

Or Infinity, whatever...

Either way it was lame... The Pang Brothers really should of stopped The Eye films after the first one (which is great imo)....

The sequel other then some neat visuals sucked, and this one is just as bad.

A group of friends try out methods that enable them to see ghosts...

I agree fully.
A stupid film, but as you stated, some visuals were ok (like the part where they summon the ghosts by tapping the soupbowls and some fucking norwegian black metal-band comes around) :metal:

The kid from the first movie looking for his schoolbook was the true highlight of this soon to be forgotten film.

Hmmm, I haven't seen The Eye 10, but I watched 2 last night and I must say I disagree with your assessment of it. I thought it was not only a worthwhile movie, but in fact quite a bit better than the original! Though the first one had one of the best scares I've ever seen in a movie (so much so that I spent the first 30 minutes or so of part two bracing myself for an encore), I thought it was boring up until then and had a messy ending. 2 on the other hand was solid throughout and though it had some decent scares, I think the film really should be looked at as a drama moreso than a horror film. I thought the idea of combining a story of ghosts and reincarnation was well done and though having such a sappy ending ran the risk of annoying horror fans, I thought it was definitely the way to go. And just so you don't completely leave out the grue, the scenes involving people falling provided were well placed. (I would say I have a hard time believing someone could try again [if you saw it, you know the scene I mean], but I think I actually read somewhere that someone once did do that.) Anyway, I really liked it. :)

I couldn't even sit through the first one. It was so freaking boring with just a few cool scenes in it.

It must be like the FRIDAY THE 13th of Asia, they just keep pounding them out cause' people see them.
