Bangkok Haunted

Not an alltogether bad movie but this one really had very limited scares. It wouldn't surprise to learn it was filmed for tv or something like that. It's one of those anthology movies, this time featuring 3 shorts as told by three different girls. There was lots of nice imagery and fortunately it didn't veer too far into Ring-ripoff territory. I liked the first story best, about an ugly guy spurned by his adopted sister. The 2nd was about a woman who uses a love potion to attract the guy she likes and you know that never ends good. This one was probably the weakest (and the one I had the hardest time staying awake for). The last part might have been better if the lead actor didn't remind me so much of Keanu Reeves. It had an interesting premise but tended to overstay it's welcome. I think the best thing I can say about this one is that I don't regret watching it. Feint praise indeed.

I enjoyed how the movie opened...
