BB King Blues Festival......last night at Summer Nights on Lake Union.

It was completely awesome. It's always cool to be at a concert like this.....standing so close to one of America's icons.

He talked more than he played, but his band was very good. BB was entertaining and spoke a lot of how things used to be as opposed to now. He had the crowd rolling many times. He spoke a lot of his declining health and that his doctors and nurses are Viagra, Levitra and Cialis. LOL!!

When he did play it was awesome. He finished everything off by saying "Im gonna do this till the day I die" and gave Lucille a big kiss. He then stood up and threw multitudes of guitar picks and jewelry out into the crowd before leaving the stage.

Most excellent!

I met BB King back when I was a hotel desk clerk. Got free tix to see him play. Was VERY cool. :D

Last area/amphitheater concert I saw was Judas Priest.
Last gig/concert I was was Testament. The crowd was crazier at Testament. :D Made it more memorable to me for some reason... Could be the dude inducing vomiting on the bus back to the cars... that was pretty fucked up.

don't remember my last real concert.

But I know what my next one will be. My lovely wife suprised me with two tickets to "An Evening With Robert Cray" at the Triple Door in Seattle, sept. It's a dressy and intimate club with tables and such. Pretty much what I'd envision the perfect concert to be. I'm so giddy I think I peed a little...

"Young Bob" Cray! woohoo!

Take a picture, trick. I'm on a boat, bitch.

OK...it was on DVD and it was in my living room.

W.A.S.P. was scheduled to be next up, but that show was recently cancelled.
Gonna be Hammerfall, I think.

MELVINS, with Isis as openers, In Boston a few months ago.

Before that Slayer/Chimara/hatebreed. The audience booed hatebreed the whole time but the fucking rocked, all three bands did. Kerry King had a shaved head and a big billy goat goatee and he looked like the fucking antiChrist
