Funniest horror movies?

Post by jga5000 »

Just saw Day of the Beast, now I'm in the mood for more comedies with a horror theme. Anyone know any good ones? I don't want unintentional humor, I wanna see some real intended comedies with clever jokes, none of the "so bad it's funny" crap, I got too many of those. :smoke:

I actually started a similar thread not too long back.

http://www.mortado.com/forum/showthread ... r+comedies

Most of the movies there aren't that good, but I'll always love Silence Of The Hams.

Silence of the Hams sounds good, I think I'll order the VHS soon, apparently there's no DVD of it.

I still need to check out Motel Hell.

I also just got Transylavnia Twist, it's a horror spoof, I'll report back if it was any good, it was a good buy for $3 on DVD.

I always thought that Wes Craven's "The People Under The Stairs" was funny as hell.

I would have to say either Jack Frost, ya know, the one with the killer snowman, Uncle Sam, or Leprechaun In The Hood.

Speaking of Alex de la Iglesia, anyone seen Crimen Ferpecto or La Comunidad? They are both playing here next month (as well as about all his other movies) and I was thinking of going to check them out. Unfortunately, they are playing on back to back nights, which means I'll not likely see both.

I don't remember the movie as being especially funny, but I've always loved the box art on the VHS. And it might have the best tagline ever....

I think the overall cheese factor is what made it so funny to me.

Trick or Treat is one of my favorites. I bought that as soon as it was on DVD and watch it at least once a month. It's so fucking cheesy that I am addicted. Plus it has an awsome soundtrack(which I own) from Fastway.

I have to go with the classic Return Of The Living Dead. Also, has a hot, naked Linnea Quigley (not sure on the spelling), before she became a nasty skank (looks wise, I know nothing of her as a person).
