If you like first person shooters and have a killer system then this game is for you. I thought my system was decent but I'm running it at 800x600 to keep it smooth. Fast action, some damned creepy bits and a lot of J-horror inspired shock parts. I haven't tried multi, single player has been too fun.

I'll be getting this tomorrow:) I played the SP demo, and the MP beta since it started a while back, and love both aspects of game. I have been keeping my eye on this game for a long time now, and I'm rather happy I can finally get to play the retail version.

If u are going to play MP I'll join u, my player name is LINKUZZZ. Just set up a time, and I'll setup a server. I hope Gamespot GameCenter has added fear to their supported games.

I'll be posting a huge topic post on gaming in the next few weeks, should be interesting for some people.

I heard about F.E.A.R. a few months ago, all I recall is something about being able to break down walls.

I don't mess with the New FPS games much anymore, I lost interest in the new stuff aroudn the time Unreal Tournament was relased. It's basically the same stuff, just flashier graphics, it all feels the same (though, since 2000, the only two new games I've played have been Return to Castle Wolfenstein and DOOM 3).

Occasionally there may be a new option added to the gameplay, however I feel FPS games, as they are now, have pretty much reached their peak. I played DOOM3 earlier this year. I got bored.

I don't do much online gaming with the FPS games anymore, though when I have the time, other players are available, and I feel like playing, it's Quakeworld, Quake 2, or Skulltag DOOM.

Skulltag DOOM is wonderful. It's like regular DOOM 1 or 2, only with more options. If you prefer the original DOOM style deathmatch, there are servers that support that also (No mouselook, etc).

Return to Castle Wolfenstein and DOOM 3 are both rather average games, wait until I show u what u are missing when I post my game topic post. U will freak at the number of good games that are coming out that are more than just good graphics. FEAR is one of those games.

I'm waiting for something more realistic to be released. Though, for a computer game to be as realistic as I want, the closest out there right now is probably paintball or laser tag.

RTCW was aliright, better than DOOM3.

I prefer having a thin plot, i don't want to do a lot of reading or listening in a game. Cinema scenes eat up time also, I usually skip them. DOOM3 required me to read PDA's and stuff for codes. I got tired of listening to them, so I printed out a list of door/cabinet codes.

Overall, for the past few months, every few weeks or so I've been going for Skulltag DOOM. It's not the same as original DOOM, but close enough for me to still consider it DOOM.
